Dan is a renowned fashion and advertising photographer based in Toronto. Dan started his career in 1986 assisting award-winning photographer Joseph Chiu. Two years later he started his own studio and has never looked back.

Dan is the recipient of numerous photographic awards including awards from C.A.P.I.C., The Advertising Photographers of America and Graphis.

Dan together with Art Director Glen Hanson published Diatom, the world’s first high-end photographic comic book. It went on to receive media coverage from magazines all over the world, including American Photographer (U.S.), Okaina (Spain) and Black and White (Australia).

Dan created the first in a series of television shows that have since turned out to be a Canadian phenomenon – Naked in the House. The show revolved around a photographic contest based on a very simple premise; 12 photographers have one camera, one lens, one roll of film and one half hour to photograph a nude model they have never seen in a location they have only seen pictures of. What started as a creative idea soon became a one-hour documentary and has since run on CityTV and the Fashion Digital Channel for the past five years.

The show won a Genie award for Best Editing and was nominated for another Genie for Best Arts Documentary.

Dan is also the author of Solipsum, a novel that combines elements of fashion, photography and the supernatural.
