A graduate from the Film Studies program at the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1990, Walter Pacifico is now a Director of Photography in Toronto and Buenos Aires.

High-profile clients such as Royal Bank of Canada, Royal Ontario Museum, Dell Canada, Sporting Life, NBA, Fitness Depot, Manulife Financial and Mitsubishi Motors Argentina have relied on Walter’s artistry to enhance the look of their products.

After moving to Canada in 1996, he worked as a gaffer in 17 Feature Films and over 200 commercials before becoming a Director of Photography.

In 2001, Walter shot music videos for July Black, Aaron Carter, Young Don and G-Whiz. These received excellent reviews and enjoyed high rotation in Canada and the US. Between 2001 and 2003, Walter worked closely with Director RT on more than 20 music videos. Several went on to win awards in Canada and the US, while others have become icons of Canadian independent Hip Hop culture.

Also in 2003, after two years of close collaboration with Director Miguel Gallego, Walter teamed up with the director on the award-winning horror piece The Crypt Club. The Canadian Film Centre and Universal Studios picked Walter in 2005 as a Cinematographer for their co-production Internal Combustion, directed by Eric Plummer.

The year after, Walter collaborated with Director Rodrigo Gudino and Rue Morgue Cinema on their award-winning horror flick The Eyes of Edward James.

In 2007, two films shot by Walter (Loving Loretta (directed by Andrea Gutsche, produced by Slanted Wheel) and The Untitled Puppet Project (directed by Christina Ray)) had the honor of being chosen for the Toronto International Film Festival. This marks the 3rd and 4th time films shot by Walter have been honored by their participation in TIFF.
